What's Happening At The Chamber

Have you signed up for the annual Pub! Grub! Network! event scheduled for Thursday, April 14th? It's not too late to participate! Let the Chamber help you network in a fun and casual environment from 5 to 8 pm. Board the bus in Downtown Frankfort at Breidert Green and travel to three local restaurants to experience business networking in a whole new way. Meet the owners/managers at Buffalo Wild Wings, Enrico’s Italian Restaurant and Fat Rosie’s and taste a sampling of their cuisine. All you need to do is park your car and let the Chamber help you connect with other people. Cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Join us on April 19th for our monthly morning Meet, Greet & Network meeting. Networking begins at 7:30 am so come on out and enjoy continental breakfast sponsored by Climate Control Systems Heating & Air Conditioning. Then at 8 am listen to guest speaker, Cathy Dulberg from Chiro One who will do a presentation on workplace health, wellness and environment tips. After Chiro’s short presentation get your name and business noticed and introduce yourself with a 30 second info commercial about your business to the whole group. A very low key relaxing event that allows you to meet your fellow Business colleagues and learn what resources are available right in your area. Make those connections and see how your business can grow. We invite you to join us at the Frankfort Village Hall (Community Room) on April 19th. Open to the public and free to attend. Do a friend a favor and bring them along to attend our informative Meet, Greet & Network event.

Our Community Showcase Event was held on Saturday, March 19th at Lincoln-Way East High School. We had over 100 Chamber Businesses come out and set up a booth to make connections and to develop a network within the community. This was a perfect venue to gain valuable information and to help our local businesses. What a great opportunity to be involved with our community and showcase ones business. Thank you all for coming out and supporting this annual event.

American Cancer Society Relay For Life is forming teams for the June 10th - 11th, event at Lincoln-Way East High School, 201 Colorado Avenue in Frankfort. Come be a part of this inspiring experience and join us for a night of hope. Opens June 10th with a 5:30 pm Survivor dinner and opening ceremonies begins at 6:30 pm. The event closes on June 11th at 2 pm. We will walk together against cancer. Frankfort Area Historical Society will be hosting a Church Walk featuring the four oldest congregations in Frankfort.  The Walk will be held on Sunday, April 10th from 1:30 - 4:00 pm and will include Frankfort United Methodist, Good Shepherd Lutheran, St. Anthony’s Catholic and St. Peter’s United Church of Christ.  While these churches are long established on or adjacent to Sauk Trail, they have quite storied beginnings. Come to the Walk to find out which o these churches… Was established before Frankfort officially became a village. Hel their first service in a Rock Island railroa car. Started out as Deutsche Evangeliche Gemeinde. Was first attended to b preachers on horseback riding town to town and is the youngest congregation fittingly established by several youn families. In addition to learning about their role in Frankfort’s history, each church will provide a unique experience including entertainment and refreshments. All are welcome to this free event. Frankfort Park District – Come out to Main Park for the Celebrating Earth Day event on Saturday, April 16th from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm.  Bring the whole family to this FREE event. There will be green education workshops, learning activities for children, crafts, give-a-ways, popcorn, hot dogs, electronic recycling drop-off, paper shredding drop-off and more! The Spring Wine Tasting is on Friday, April 22nd from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street. Sponsored by the experts at Wine Styles of Shorewood, is for ages 21 & older. Frankfort Public Library – Just in time for Mother’s Day… The Friends of the Frankfort Public Library will hold their 5th Annual Geranium and Herb Sale on Saturday, May 17th at the library, Route 30 and Pfeiffer Road.
