The 2016 school season is coming to a close and the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce celebrated on May 11th and May 17th by giving out 10 $500 dollar scholarships. Concerts on the Green starts up on June 19th over the Father-Day weekend. Bring your dad out to enjoy some family time and great music at 6:30 pm at Breidert green. American Cancer Society Relay For Life takes place June 10th and 11th, event at Lincoln-Way East High School, 201 Colorado Avenue in Frankfort. Join them and be a part of this inspiring experience and join us for a night of hope. Opens June 10th with a 5:30 pm Survivor dinner and opening ceremonies begins at 6:30 pm. Frankfort School District 157-C Education Foundation is hosting their 4th annual golf outing on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Prestwick Country Club located at 601 Prestwick Drive in Frankfort. $155 registration fee includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, a forecaddie per foursome with a box lunch and dinner. This event will be a 4-player scramble with a shotgun start at 12:00 pm. Frankfort Park District – The Park District will be hosting the Frankfort Community Garage Sale on Saturday, June 4 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm throughout the Frankfort Park District Community. Movies on the Green will feature Hotel Transylvania 2 (PG) on June 8 at Dusk, approx. 8:30 pm, for FREE at Breidert Green and is co-sponsored by Frankfort Park District, Village of Frankfort and the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce. Our 16th Annual Short Run On A Long Day 5K Run/Walk is on Wednesday, June 15 at 7 pm at Main Park. The Pre-registration (by June 13) fee is $19 and $25 after 5 pm on June 13. Start your summer with an evening Party In The Park - “School’s Out for Summer” on Monday, June 20 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at Lincoln Meadows, Johnson Ave. & Elm Street. It’s FREE! Calling all golfers ages 8 years & older! The Wiffle Ball Golf Tournament is on Saturday, June 25 a 12:30 pm (Tee Off) at Commissioners Park. Cost is $45/ per twosome. Registration Deadline is June 17. The annual 4th of July Celebration is from 5-9 pm at Main Park, 400 W. Nebraska Street. $10 wristbands include: unlimited access to inflatables, kids entertainment, face painting and carnival games. The band Sundance will perform from 7:30- 9:00 pm followed by Fireworks at Dusk!
