Can you believe it’s already November! The Chamber is busy with lots of events and activities during the holiday season.
In an effort to continue learning and growing to better serve our members, Alicia and Kris will start the month by attending the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives fall conference in Oak Brook. This year’s theme is Excellence in Governance. Some of the Chamber Board members also will attend a session about Board Roles & Goals.
Member events will include four Ribbon Cutting/Receptions in the first half of November (see calendar on pg. 3) and our annual General Membership Meeting on November 16, where the volunteer of Board of Directors slate will be voted on (see pg. 2). Rerserve your seat today!
The Chamber Office will be closed Nov. 23 and 24 for the Thankgiving holiday, but we are busy planning a Shop Chamber program that will kick-off on Shop Small Saturday, Nov., 25, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Watch emails and the website for details.

Registration deadline is Nov. 7 for girls and boys Youth Baskeball Leagues for 3rd-8th grades. Leagues play Dec. 5 to March 10 with practices on Tuesdays and games on Saturdays, $129/NR $134 ($5 off additional siblings). 24th Annual Holiday Craft & Vendor Show will be Sat., Nov. 11, 9-3 at Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St. FREE admission. Throwback 1967 Homecoming Dance from 7 to 9 pm . This dance will be held in the Founders Community Center gymnasium , Fri., Nov. 17 from 7-9pm. Fee is $15 pp includes DJ music, light appetizers and adult beverages (2 drink tickets included, additional available to purchase). Turkey Time Fun, Wed., Nov. 22, 10:30am-12:30pm at Founders Center. Ages 4-10 years will play games, make a turkey craft, jump in giant inflatable and enjoying some ice cream, $6/NR $9. Save the date for Dinner with Santa on Fri., Dec. 1, 6-7:30 pm at Founders Center. Celebrate the holidays by joining Santa and Frosty the Snowman for dinner this year. Children must be accompanied by an adult. NO TICKETS sold at the door. Space is limited, please register early. Tickets are $9/NR $12 pp, registration deadline is Nov. 27 or until filled.
