Brett Schaibley
Secretary, Chamber Board of Directors

I am a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Frankfort. I was born and raised in Streator. After graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University, I moved to Chicago and spent the first 14 years of my career as a CPA in public accounting, assisting business owners with their accounting and tax needs.

After moving to Frankfort six years ago and desiring to spend more time with my wife and children, I made the bold decision to pursue my lifelong goal to provide financial advice, guidance and direction to the members of his community.

As a Financial Advisor, I partner with individuals, families and business owners to develop financial strategies, build and preserve wealth, protect financial assets and help his clients maximize the return on themselves. I enjoy the opportunity to work with clients of all ages through the various stages of their financial life, whether it’s paying for education, preparing for the unexpected, planning for and living in retirement and/or estate considerations.

An active volunteer and member of the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce since 2016, this will be my third year as Chair of the Community Showcase, which will be March 16 at Lincoln-Way East Community High School. I am honored to have been asked to join the Board of Directors in 2018 and look forward to creating additional opportunities and fostering partnerships in the community.

When not spending time with my clients and in the community, I enjoy time with my wife and three young wildlings (kids) taking in everything that Frankfort has to offer. In my free time, I enjoy golf, fishing and anything outdoors.

Although I take my vocation very seriously, I live in the credo; “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

5-minute Q&A

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
I’m currently doing what I’ve always dreamed about doing, so I wouldn’t change a thing! I have found my calling in life and love helping individuals, families and business owners build out personalized financial strategies to achieve their financial goals.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Tacos!

Tell us a little bit about your family.
My family means everything to me! I have an amazing wife who supports me in my business, while maintaining a professional career of her own as a CPA, and also raising our three kids. I’m not sure how she does it. I have a seven-year-old son, a five-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son. They all have their own unique personalities, however being so close in age, they get along very well.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? (Chamber Board)
I enjoy volunteering and giving back while promoting business in the Community that I work and live in. My wife and I have lived in Frankfort for over six years now and we love everything that Frankfort has to offer and would love to continue to see it grow.

What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie(s) would have to be Star Wars (all of them).

Bryan Moberg
2019 Fall Fest Sanitation Chair

Who is Bryan Moberg? Well, give me 30 minutes of your time, and let’s talk. But for now, just a quick overview. I am a Payments Professional for Payroc, a family-owned, credit card processing company that was founded in 2002 by my best friends. I believe I am horribly honest, very loyal, and committed, which helps me in business and life.

I have been active in the Frankfort Chamber since becoming a member in January 2016. I volunteer on the Golf Committee and the Meet, Greet & Network Committee. I also have been a Gates Co-Chair for the Fall Festival. I have a blast volunteering for all the events, especially FAWN.

This year, I have accepted the challenge of being Sanitation Chair, with the guarantee that I will get lots of help from the Fall Fest team. But just to give you some security, I started my career working in the garbage world, and I have a full understanding of what’s expected and what needs to be done to fulfill my role and keep Fall Fest clean.

I have built amazing relationships in just a short time with the Chamber, and I am excited to see what the future holds.

5-Minute Q&A

If you could only drink one beer for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Peanut butter porter from Denver Beer Company. Could quite possibly be the best beer ever made

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza, hands down, because you can change it up for breakfast lunch and dinner. You can change the crust, the sauce, the toppings, the cheeses. I choose pizza because it still gives me many options.

What do you like most about your job?
The fact that I work with my close friends (of over 30 years) every day. I work for a family-owned company that truly is helping people every day, and we can all sleep sound knowing we are an honest, transparent company. Also, I get to meet new people every day, I get to see new places every day, every day is different.

What is your favorite sport?
I have two—baseball and golf. You might say, “wow, so boring,” but when you truly understand the games and how hard it is to play, you begin to love and appreciate the games. Both of them are truly an art I will never be good at, but man do I love to play and watch.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
I would be a teacher /coach because I have had amazing teachers and coaches in my life. If I could help someone else learn from my achievements and mistakes, then I would be paying it forward. I believe all teachers and coaches are truly a staple in our lives.
