Rich Rappold moved into Frankfort over 25 years ago. He’s seen his children go through their school years at 157-C, all graduate from Lincolnway High School and successfully move out on their own. That’s his proudest accomplishment.
Rich is an attorney who concentrates his practice in representing business owners and their families. Rich’s practice covers all phases of the business cycle from the excitement of starting a new business through successfully executing the owner’s exit strategy. During that cycle, Rich works with owners to accomplish such things as the purchase or sale of assets outside the ordinary course of business, including real estate, or financing a major investment. As part of business planning, an owner should have a succession plan including an estate plan to insure the continued success of the business and provide for his or her family. Rich helps people plan for and document all these activities.
Since moving into Frankfort, Rich has been active in the community. He belonged to the Frankfort School District 157-C Strategic Planning Committee from its formation and continuing for many years. He was a founding board member and eventually, president, of the 157-C Education Foundation. Rich served on the Frankfort Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals including several years as its chairman. He was represented the Village of Frankfort’s on the Frankfort Township Plan Commission.
At the Frankfort Chamber Rich chaired the Golf Committee Chair for 5 years, has been the Transportation Chair for Fall Fest for 3 years, and is currently President.
Being active in Frankfort has been very rewarding. It gives you a voice in the community and a real say in its future. Best of all is meeting so many people who love Frankfort and are willing to pour so much of their time and effort into it.
