Kiwanis Club of Frankfort

Tom Van Dellen moved into Frankfort almost17 years ago. All three of Tom’s children have gone through the 157-C schools, Lincolnway East High School, graduated from their respective colleges and have begun the process of moving out on their own.

Tom is a business professional with Prudential whose mission is to help individuals, families and small businesses make plans to secure their financial future. Service areas in which Tom works include retirement planning, investment planning, estate planning, tax planning, special needs planning, risk management, business succession planning, to name a few. Even though Tom’s office is in Frankfort, he serves a broad geographical area ranging from Indianapolis, IN to Moline, IL and works with people who are looking for a professional relationship and care about their future.

Tom currently serves as Secretary for the Kiwanis Club of Frankfort. This is a great way get out into the community and help people in need. He is also involved with Lincoln Way Special Recreation Association as a basketball official for the organization. Tom has been an Illinois High School Assoc. basketball official for over 25 years as it helps him stay involved with many local middle schools and high schools. Tom also enjoys volunteering during the Frankfort Fall Fest in various capacities.

Volunteering is a great way to feel the pulse of the local community and Tom is looking forward to becoming more involved in the Frankfort business community as a director.

Kiwanis Club of Frankfort

The Kiwanis Club of Frankfort has served the Frankfort community and township for over 42 years. Our local club was established in 1976 with the goal of working to make our community a better place. Frankfort Kiwanis is a charter member of Kiwanis International which was founded in 1915 and is headquartered in Indianapolis Indiana. Kiwanis is a global humanitarian organization of over 600,000 volunteers who are dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Frankfort provides scholarship funds to area high school seniors and recognizes outstanding student achievements. We also annually conduct special recreation games for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Additionally, we assist cancer survivor patients by volunteering and donating to Frankfort's Camp Quality. Also, we donate to the Frankfort Township food pantry, 4th of July fireworks, and provide meals to needy families during the holidays. Our club supports the Lincoln-Way East High School Key Club and assists the Aktion Club through partnership with the Lincoln-Way Special Recreation Association. The Kiwanis Club of Frankfort offers community support through our annual and primary fundraisers of; Kiwanis Peanut Day, Pancake Breakfast, Frankfort Fall Festival Concessions, Parmesan's Restaurant Night, Flag Day, and Turkey Bucks. The Kiwanis Club of Frankfort is an excellent social and professional networking organization where community service, leadership, and giving are our primary focus.
